Hi and welcome!

My name is Genia. I am 36 years old, born and raised in Kiev, Ukraine but live in Atlanta, GA now.

I am a mother of adorable twin girls Sonia and Lilia, loved and loving, happy and a co-owner of our family business – commercial photography AKELstudio.

Also I am digital artist, photo editor and retoucher. My goal is to make sure the final image is perfect and priceless.

I believe that intelligence and beauty will makes our world a better place.

My dream is to create intelligent and beautiful world around me and to be surrounded by people who want the same.

I started doing it in little steps. First, my home… then my work, my business.

I want to make design and visual image around us more meaningful, stylish, unique, remarkable and useful.

My desire is to help take away all the tastelessness, soliciting and idiocy.

I am Lucky. Because I understand that nobody will give me favorable conditions, financial independence, happiness. I should (and can!) create all of that myself. And that’s motivating.

I like to build my life, my business, my thoughts and my reality the way I want. And I admire people who do the same.

Creation, creator.

What inspires you?
My family

What are the things you are most proud of from what you’ve accomplished or did so far in life?
My girls. It was a long way to them.
Our business, nobody believed we can do it:-)
Our relationships with my husband, we are the closest people in the world.

If you were to start your career/business all over again, what would you do differently?
Find my passion, deeply understand what I want earlier.

Small talk. Herd instinct. Folly.

If there was one thing you could revolutionize, what would that be?
I would revolutionize education system completely.

What are the best realizations you had that changed your life?
1. That all the limitations are in my head only.
2. Anything is possible

What do you love?
Internet. Meaningful conversations. Morning coffee. Reading. Roasted sunflower seeds. Browsing Internet and looking for beautiful things.

What is the best material gift you ever received and why?
1. Small picture with caption “Wind of changes”, because I and my future husband found $10 on a street and bought this picture and these words meant a lot for us.
2. French cups. I like that they are French, round, big, perfect shape, stylish, transparent with nice flowers and blue/yellow color.

What is your favorite flower and what do you see in it?
Lotus. Blameless. Elegant. Unique. Hard to reach. Perfect. Pure. Beautiful. Sensual. Inspiration. Grace. Balance. Out from the crowd.

What advice would you give to your 18 year old Self:
Don’t be afraid to be unique and show your personality.

What are you most proud of in your country/people?
Country – long history, gorgeous nature and architecture
People – smart and creative (I was born and raised in Ukraine)

Did you have a job that you hated in the past and if yes, why?
I didn’t hate any job because I learned a lot so I can use all my knowledge and experiences now.
