Absolutely awesome unique clothes. It is a pleasure just to hold it in hands:-)
I very like a stage photography, creativity and unusual results with such type of photography.
At the end we are getting gorgeous pictures of my kids, every mom wants to have great photos of her children:-)
Lilia is an excellent model. Almost 3 years old toddler act seriously as a professional model:-) You can see her on a stage on the behind-the-scene video below.
As always, all technical aspects and full length video from this photo-session you can find on Alex Koloskov blog
Recently we had an enjoyable photoshot of designed and hand made unique products for the artist Doug James.
Doug James is the quintessential product designer whose blended talents as both an artist and engineer have propelled him through many artistic and design challenges to successfully create elegant, appealing and highly marketable objects.
His new redesigned web site with new pictures is coming soon. Please check www.studiodoug.com
Lighting setup, technical details, behind the scene video tutorial for these photos, as always available on our photographer’s blog article: Water in product and advertisement photography: episode two released! Today I’ll show you my retouching work. I really enjoyed working with such vivid bright colors. I am a color person, never liked black & white or sepia:-). This is why working with these colorful photos makes me truly happy and positive for entire day.
Hope you’ll feel this energy while looking at our images:-) Have a nice day!
These pictures are our first collaboration with my favorite children fashion designer Alla Koval. If you are searching for a truly special for your little one, visit her web site www.mylittlecitygirl.com. Her designs look fabulous and unique! Once you see it you’ll never forget:-)
AKELstudio is glad to announce a new upcoming tutorial, we are working on it right now. This is a second episode from our “using water in product photography” series (the first one is here).
This time we used a carbonated water, pepper, colored lights and other ingredients:-). Enjoy a little preview, the first image form the photoset:
Water photography tutorial announcement
The tutorial with the lighting setup and a video will be released beginning next week.
Also, one more exciting news for our readers: The next photoshoot of the “water” series we’ll be broadcasting live form our studio!
The live stream will be available on Hi-def format (720p), accessible from any browser and even from smartphones: we’ll be using USTREAM service for the broadcast, there is a viewer available for both iPhone and Droid market. Chat will be opened for all registered users: our photographer Alex Koloskov will be glad to answer all your questions real time.
Here I’ll show you the final images and a little example of post production that was done. Photography with a water usually requires many hours of retouching because of dust (hard to get clear water, if you work on top of the surface right?), air bubbles, wire and fishing line for holding the product.
Glad to announce that we eventually got time to work on the tutorial/master class of underwater splash product photography shoot. We’ll be doing behind the scene video and a blog post, with all setup explained, including every little tips and tricks we used to get job done.
Here is an example of the images we did yesterday during the initial setup:
These are examples of images on a white background for Refrigiwear catalog. (find bonus at the end of post:-). How to clean background and how to make it really white you can find on my oldest post Is the white background really white?
It is not to easy to find lessons or tutorials how Pro prepare images of models for magazines and advertising. I try to accumulate information what I learn from different professional retouchers in this tutorial.
I do not pretend to “guru” status, you can correct me. I just want to learn how to do sublime retouching and post-production and share my knowledge with you.
This is an example of fast work-flow for a portrait retouching and post-production for print or web. If you like to learn this process in more details you can find a bonuslinks below.
The idea of photoshoot with color gels was hanging in the air in our studio for a quite some time, and now Kevi Redding, beautiful young singer we were working before, asked us to do a portrait for her using colored lighting. After Kevi’s photo-shoot was done I wanted to try this lighting for myself:-)
The setup of this photo-session, some tips and video you can find on our photographer’s blog, supported by Alex Koloskov. On this post I’ll show you only the images.
“I’m only one third through the Masterclass videobook, but so far it is great. I have never seen this information presented in any other publication, on or off the internet. If you are interested in splash photography, this is the preeminent reference.” –Danny Brown
